WingTrace values your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy outlines what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can manage it.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Location Data

• What: WingTrace collects your device’s location data to track your paragliding flights.

• Purpose: This data is used for real-time flight logging and to provide a record of your flights.

• Storage: Location data remains on your device unless you sign up for cloud services, in which case it is stored in plain text in Supabase Cloud.

1.2 Account Details

• What: If you choose to create an account, we collect:

• Your email address

• A hashed version of your password

• Flight data (linked to your account)

• Purpose: Account details are required for logging flights, enabling cloud sync, and providing access to your flight history across devices.

1.3 Third-Party Data Collection

• OneSignal: If you opt into push notifications, data such as device identifiers and notification interactions are shared with OneSignal.

• Supabase Cloud: If you create an account and enable cloud sync, your email, hashed password, and flight data are shared with Supabase Cloud.

2. How Your Data is Stored and Protected

• On-Device Data: Data remains on your device unless cloud sync is enabled.

• Cloud Data: Data in Supabase is stored in plain text, except for passwords, which are securely hashed.

• Data Retention:

• Your data is stored indefinitely unless you request deletion.

• To delete your account or data, you can contact support via the app’s support platform.

3. Data Sharing

We only share data with the following third parties:

• OneSignal: For push notifications. Data is shared only if you opt into notifications.

• Supabase Cloud: For account and flight data storage if you sign up for cloud sync.

4. User Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

• Access Your Data: View flight logs and account details stored in the app or cloud.

• Request Deletion: Contact our support team to delete your account and remove data stored in Supabase Cloud and OneSignal.

• Opt-Out:

• Decline push notifications to avoid sharing data with OneSignal.

• Avoid creating an account to keep your flight data on-device only.

5. Data Security

• Passwords are securely hashed and cannot be decrypted.

• Other data, including flight logs and emails, are stored in plain text in Supabase Cloud.

6. Global Availability

WingTrace is available worldwide, with a particular focus on Sweden. All users, regardless of location, are subject to this Privacy Policy.
